Total Eclipse August 21

Total Eclipse August 21

While an eclipse is not actually a STORM, as your friendly area STORM-CASTERS, we feel it is our responsibility to notify you of STORMY type stuff so looking ahead, the coaches and directors at PHILLY STORM want everyone to be aware of this upcoming Monday’s total eclipse. We may have cloud cover and not be able to see the eclipse but we would like you to remind NOT TO LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE ECLIPSE without proper eye wear.

Retinal damage can occur as the result of looking directly at an eclipse and can occur within seconds.

Unfortunately, while the PHILADELPHIA STORM area will not see the total solar eclipse, the eclipse will produce higher radiation and can burn a retina in the eye easier than if you could see 100% of the eclipse.
